SCOPE OF WORK

The scope of work executed by Spider Access for the Barge Arab Drill 160 during its refurbishment covered the following key activities:

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Surface Preparation & Painting:

The External Shell and Jack House areas were thoroughly degreased and cleaned using water washing by our rope access technicians. This was followed by power tooling to prepare the surface before painting. The painting was carried out in full compliance with the client’s requirements in terms of Dry Film Thickness (DFT) and approved paint system.

Structural Welding:

Minor welding works were required on the lifeboat structures following an inspection. Our certified rope access welder completed these works in accordance with the client’s instructions and to the required standards.

Safety Net & Sling Installation:

During the inspection, the client identified the need for additional safety measures including the installation of safety nets and retention slings for critical items such as lights, speakers, cameras, etc., located on various structures including the accommodation block, cranes, helideck, and mast. Our team completed the installation within the required time frame, ensuring all safety measures were in place and fully operational.
